ps ASHE is pronounced ah-shay, but I'm not sure why anymore. I think I thought it was German for something, but it's not.
ASHE is a project I worked on during 1998 to 2005 or so, before I started my transition. (I'm a MtF transexual woman, fyi.) The project ended after five songs since I was in other bands and since I was playing each track myself one at a time with only a few other musicians brought in, so it was slow going. I had over 100 hours in Cry for You, which was a real bitch to mix--it's so thick, and the guitars & strings are fighting for the same frequency space. I think surround sound would have really helped; the strings would have felt nice behind the listener.
